OCL ROLE

As part of the ATC project it was required that 4 REB SER buildings were built to house signalling and electrical equipment. 3 of the buildings were prefabricated off site, OCL cat scanned area carried out deep excavations with diggers and dumpers installed concrete bases incorporating rebar. Prefabricated REB buildings were lifted into place by cranes utilising road closures with traffic management set up by OCL and track possessions.

REB installed at Harrow on the Hill is a new block built building within the station constructed with stainless steel windposts, Kingspan panel flat roof and plastered walls and ceilings.

Decorate inside of REB to approved standards Install key clamp barriers OCL carried out contract work and supplied labour resources to enable client to:

  • Build signal equipment rooms and electrical switch rooms for the automatic train control system (ATC)
  • Construction of civils, electrical lighting, power and fire alarm systems
  • Construction of concrete bases and pathways including edge protection
  • Overseeing manufacture, delivery and installation of 3 x REBs
  • Build of REB using concrete blocks including associated delivery / offload via crane with Traffic Management procedures in place
  • Installation of lighting, power, distribution and fire alarm systems within REBs
  • Completion of ITP’s
  • Production of as-built drawings
